What’s your reason for not having a business website?

I’ve heard it so many times before. Those reflexive responses to inquiries about the necessity of having a website for your business. On the surface, the reasons for not having a website seem legit. — Well, maybe they seem legitimate to you, the business owner. However, for your customers who want information before calling you or stopping in to transact business with you, they might feel differently. You might figure that if they need something, they’ll just get in touch by phone or in person. (In fact, I’ve heard from business owners who worry that customers may NOT call if their website has “too much” information. That’s a fallacy I’ll go into in another blog post later.)

What you may not realize is that your customers are already calling on you. But they’re just doing the “calling” online first.  They’re searching online for info about your services, your products, and more. But you’re not going to realize that if you’re not online. And when you’re absent online, your competitors who do have websites are answering the call — virtually. Your customers are much more web-savvy than in years past. And they respond favorably by giving their business to those businesses that respond to their questions and needs. And they want that response now, when they’re thinking about it, not waiting until Monday morning when you open.

Without a business website, you may be missing a lot of opportunities without realizing it. This infographic will challenge your thinking.
